Wednesday morning, I stepped foot in the REs office for the first time since summer 2010.
These front desk girl wasn't there and it was empty. The monitoring hours had passed and for awhile, I was the only one there. A man came in later and was waiting on his wife-I always want to give people a hug at the office. One of the nurses came and took my height and weight. Before going, I was actually most nervous about my weight. That it would be too high for treatments. Dr. B came out to meet me, she said "it's great to see you, I hope you brought pictures" I told her I was nervous to be back and she replied "we like you, we just hope you won't be here too long" :) Sam had fallen asleep right as I was leaving, so Mike stayed home with her. Dr B and I caught up on things and then went over what we/I will need to do before doing the FET. I'll have and HSG done and also another mock transfer. We both need updated infectious disease bloodwork done as well. I thought maybe I'd need cd3 bloodwork done but I don't because we won't be needing my ovaries. My protocol will be the same as last time. A month of bc pills, start del.estrogren every 3 days. Come in for a check, start progesterone and then do a transfer. Because we have 11 embryos in storage, we will do a single transfer again. We have a date in mind that we are going to work towards (that will remain a secret for now) (we want to be able to surprise our families like last time). So I've got some time to get this together, I just wanted to be prepared. After we talked, I met with one of the nurses -my usual nurse was out-and we went over all the paperwork and prescriptions, and I met with the financial lady to get that in order. We are getting our ducks lined up. Operation Make Sam a Big Sister!Sunday, April 22, 2012
